"Oh Charlie Brown!...you're such a "blog"-head!"

Charlie Brown...the unsung hero, lol. Always having the best of intentions. Its all that darn Lucy's fault. If she'd just let him smack the football for once, maybe he'd gain a little confidence and stop accepting rocks for Halloween candy.
For some reason tonight I found myself thinking of Charlie Brown, lol. Isn't it funny what we find ourselves thinking and doing, or even saying, once you have kids? Its like your life is transformed into this cartoon reality show. Its all real, just in a cartoon kind of way. Isn't it awsome? Another chance to be a kid. Gives me a good excuse to watch cartoons and play Candy Land. :)
Ok, my funny story for today. I think I've told just about everyone cuz its so funny and cute at the same time. My daughter, 5 yrs. old, came home from school and said, "guess what mommy, Mrs. so&so is pregnant." (Her teacher) I said, "wow! What did she say about it? Is she excited?" My daughter says, "yeah...she just asked us what we thought and stuff." My response..."what did you think?" "Nothin', she said, "but I did tell her my mommy still has a big big tummy and she even got her baby out already!" I would have liked to see the teacher's reaction, lol. Out of the mouthes of babes....
Thank you Lord for your many blessings...especially my children. May You keep us close always!...Amen.

From tanning beds to breast pads...

I've been very "undecided" as to what I was going to write/type my first blog about . So here is a short history of my life, pre and post parenthood...

In 2001 I met my husband. I was a hostess at a local Bob Evans restaurant when he strolled in....lookin' good, lol. He was a server there in the past and wanted his job back. To me he looked like a scruffy college guy who's only mission was to pick up his take- out ...and hopefully me. :)To make a long story short, he was hired back and I was definitely interested.

At this time in my life I was a college wanna-be who majored in highlights, tanning, and acrylic nails. With a lot to learn I was only interested in having a good time and how great I could look doing it. (Like I said, I had a lot to learn.) Fortunately, and to my surprise, my future husband was not only good-looking and intelligent, he was also older and wiser. He has outgrown the "party" stage and was ready to settle down. Furthermore, we hit it off and were married 4 years later....

Now,... seven years later, we have been blessed with three beautiful kids and I can't imagine life without them. Two preschoolers (who ARE potty-trained) and an infant. (Yaaaa! We are almost out of the diapers forever!!!) Our family is my life. Does that make sense? To you mothers out there I'm sure it does. Sure, there are some days where I think, "...if I hear 'mommy' one more time!", but we get through em'. More importantly we grow stronger from them.

Today I would sacrifice vanity, wealth, and( to those of you who know me...YES! ) I'd even give up all the cookies and /or chocolate in the world, for an Eskimo kiss or a game of pat-a-cake. In fact...I already have, (or at least vanity and wealth, ...I'm still workin' on the others, lol.)

It cracks me up sometimes to think of how I've gone from tanning beds to breast pads...
